Lead Academic and Professional Advisor - Multiple Positions
There are five (5) Lead Academic and Professional Advisor positions available
The Lead Academic and Professional Advisor plays an important role in the work of the College of Arts and Sciences and Maxwell advising team.
This position will be a professional leader with expertise in advising undergraduate students who are either exploring major options or who have already declared a major.
This role requires collaboration with the advising team, faculty, and departments to provide outstanding service to our students, supporting their academic and professional goals and timely completion of their degrees.
Primary responsibilities include academic advising, career/professional, and post-graduation planning.
In conjunction with best practices, the Lead Academic and Professional Advisor will design, develop, update, and deliver workshops for undergraduate students on topics related to major and/or minor selection, program requirements, career development, job search strategies, and graduate school planning.
Additionally, the successful candidate will identify, track, and report outcomes such as job placement, alumni connections, and academic performance.
This role serves as a team leader in guiding, training, and supporting others on the team in providing the best possible service to College of Arts and Sciences and Maxwell students.
Bringing experience and expertise to the role, the successful candidate should also possess an intellectual curiosity to foster continued professional growth and a willingness to learn new approaches to supporting students.
