Director Academic Advising
The Director of Advising is an important leadership role in the College of Arts and Sciences and Maxwell advising team.
This position will be a professional leader overseeing all aspects of academic advising and student success services for undergraduate students managing a team of 22 advisors.
Primary responsibilities include implementation, oversight, and assessment of advising and support programs and practices in order to promote student success, increase retention, and improve time to degree completion. Successful candidate will innovate and evaluate programming to address changing student and faculty advisor needs, serve as liaison among advising office, students, parents, faculty, dean, associate and assistant deans as well as other offices across campus.
This role requires collaboration across the advising and career services team, faculty, and departments to provide outstanding service to our students, supporting their academic and professional goals and timely completion of their degrees.
Bringing experience and expertise to the role, the successful candidate should also possess an intellectual curiosity to foster continued professional growth and a willingness to learn new approaches to supporting students.
